These are some of my favorite pieces from the cartography collection. Each card is a large flashcard on a hard composite wood/card-stock. They are symbols used in the map training for soldiers, symbols that differ from those used in normal maps, and many unique symbols for military purposes, such as where to refill ammo.

Each of these cards are a screen printed design with one to three screens.

Notice they are all double sided cards. The thumbnail is a composite of both sides from the same card. See if you can find a way to best display both sides, or just turn it over occasionally to freshen up your display.

They are a part of the larger map kit produced from 1941-1946

Each piece measures 18" x 22.25"
